MR. GEORGE E. WHITE, STOURBRIDGE
Many friends learned with deep regret on January 31 of the death of Mr. George Edward White, "Etheldene", Cecil Str., Stourbridge, aged 67 years. He was in the last war, had been a member of the British Legion (Stourbridge branch) since its inception, and was honorary treasurer. The funeral was on Saturday at Wollaston Church, where the Rev. W. J. Reynolds officiated. Mourners were Harry (son), George (son-in-law), [Note: a section of the text is missing] ??? White (brother), Mr. J. O. ????Messrs. S. ??? and F. Pope ??? Moseley, Cap-??? H.P.Galletly??? British Legion. There followed a list of other mourners and floral tributes. Cutting is undated.

STOURBRIDGE BRITISH LEGION
At the monthly meeting of Stourbridge branch of the British Legion the deaths were reported of Mr. G. E. White (hon. treasurer for 23 years), Mr. G. H. Bromley (chairman of the Benevolent Committee for 10 years) and Mr. Harry Jones (member for 10 years). The members stood in silent tribute. Article continues with further details of the meeting. In 1910 he was shown as a Foreman at Wordsley Glassworks.
At other times as a warehouseman at a glassworks.
